ESL Intermediate

Course Description: 

For students who scored between a 2.5 and 3.5 on WIDA, English as a Second Language Intermediate will refine English competence in all language domains. Students will explore complex understandings and enhance critical thinking skills. Developing critical thinking skills will ensure that students can flourish within and beyond academic settings. Specifically, this course highlights the various writing styles: narrative, expository, persuasive, poetry, and descriptive. The course encompasses materials that align with both  ELA Common Core and WIDA Language Development Standards.
